Lightning Run is a Chance Rides Hyper GT-X steel roller coaster, located at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky. This custom coaster features a drop of 100 ft (30 m) at a max vertical angle of 80°, a top speed of 55 mph (89 km/h), and a track length of 2,500 ft (760 m). Lightning Run cost an estimated $7 million USD to build, and is still currently the only operating Hyper GT-X model roller coaster in the world. The ride's compact but intense layout features several moments of ejector airtime, and is a favorite to many park guests.
