MALICE MIZER (マリス・ミゼル) was formed in Tokyo in 1992. The band was founded by guitarists Mana and Közi, later joined by bassist Yu~ki. During its activity, the band had three vocalists — Tetsu, GACKT, and Klaha — and two drummers, Gaz and Kami. Their music combined rock with elements of classical music and French aesthetic influences, while their live performances were known for elaborate costumes and a theatrical atmosphere. Their most well-known songs include Bel Air, au revoir, Gekka no Yasōkyoku (月下の夜想曲), ILLUMINATI, Le Ciel, Gardenia, and Beast of Blood. Their key albums include Voyage sans retour (1996), merveilles (1998), and Bara no Seidou (2000). MALICE MIZER disbanded in 2001 and are still regarded as one of the most significant bands in the history of the Japanese visual kei scene. #MaliceMizer #VisualKei #JapaneseRock #JRock #GothicRock #90sMusic #Gackt #Mana #Közi #Kami #JMusic #CultBand #Merveilles #AuRevoir #BeastOfBlood
