Pathways to Partnership: Building Stronger Nonprofits for Greater Community Impact (Part 1)

The Palm Beach County Community Services Department recently brought nonprofit and community leaders together for Pathways to Partnership: Building Stronger Nonprofits for Greater Community Impact—a workshop designed to help organizations strengthen their capacity, pursue new opportunities, and build meaningful partnerships. Facilitated by Deputy Director Keith Clinkscale, the session provided practical guidance on navigating Palm Beach County contracting opportunities, understanding key requirements, avoiding common pitfalls, and positioning organizations to apply for public funding. Community Services Department Contract Manager Michael Wright led participants in exploring strategies for developing clear, compelling proposals that connect community needs with measurable outcomes, strong budgets, and organizational capacity. Beyond funding, the workshop highlighted the importance of building a strong organizational foundation. A stellar panel discussion addressed fiscal agents, board governance, financial management, compliance, operational infrastructure, leadership development, and strategic partnerships.
