Freedom Feels Different

For so long, I knew what it was like to live in bondage. I knew what it meant to survive instead of live. I knew fear, pain, silence, and the feeling of being trapped in places I never thought I would escape. But somewhere along that journey, the Lord came looking for me. He met me in the broken places. He met me when I was exhausted. He met me when I didn't have the strength to carry myself anymore. And little by little, He began teaching me what freedom really looks like. Not just freedom from what held me captive but freedom to become the woman He created me to be. There were times I didn't understand the road. Times I stumbled. Times I questioned. Times I wanted everything to change overnight. But the Lord never stopped walking with me. He kept calling me forward. “Come out.” And I came out. “Walk.” And I'm learning to walk. Not crawl back into what He brought me out of. Not hide behind who I used to be. Not allow my past to tell me who I am. But WALK. This journey with Jesus has changed me. I am still growing. Still learning. Still surrendering. Still being shaped. But I am not where I used to be. And that is the hope I want this spoken word to carry. If you are still in the middle of your journey, please hear this: Your story is not over. Because our journey isn't complete until He calls us home. The place you are in today does not have to be where you stay. Jesus can meet you right there. He can lead you out. He can teach you how to walk again. He can take the pieces of a life that felt shattered and breathe something new into them. Freedom may feel strange when bondage is all you've known. But there is beauty on the other side of surrender. There is life beyond survival. There is a road ahead. And if the Lord has brought you this far, keep walking. The prison doesn't get the final word. The chains don't get the final word. Your past doesn't get the final word. JESUS CHRIST DOES. I am the woman He brought out. And by His grace… I'm free.
