Rose Room Foxtrot - Art Hickman (1917) Ragtime Piano "In Sunny Roseland"

Rose Room Foxtrot, by Art Hickman (1917) Taking a little break from uploading festival videos to introduce my new painted studio (get it? Rose Room? Eh?!) with a great tune that's mostly known for being a jazz standard. This is one of it's original incarnations as a Foxtrot, though it was made most popular by Duke Ellington's 1932 recording. (It was also named for the Rose Room in St. Francis Hotel, where Hickman's band was performing). I like the simple elegance of this version, and hope you enjoy listening! 🎵 This piece was commissioned by one of my supporters over on Ko-fi ☕ I also played this at the ragtime festival if you'd like to hear a live version:    • Christina Pepper plays Rose Room Foxtrot, ...   ☕ If you enjoyed this video or have made use of my piano accompaniment tracks, consider supporting me over on my Ko-fi page: https://ko-fi.com/christinapepper You can leave a tip, commission me to record piano solos or accompaniment, buy digital music, CD's, and sheet music in my shop, or join my new monthly membership tiers! 💲 Drop a dollar or two into my Virtual Tip Jar on Venmo: @Christina-Austin-Piano 📘 Follow me on Facebook here!   / christinapepperpiano   📸 Instagram:   / pepper_thyme   🧵 Threads: https://www.threads.net/@pepper_thyme 🟢 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0aTKR... #ragtime #ragtimepiano #pianosolo
