The song was written in response to the dehumanisation unfolding in the world. Noga wrote it in desperation during October 2023, as the genocide in Gaza began. The song asks: How can we rehumanise? Noga invites the audience to sing along, connect and reflect on how we can come together to rehumanise and protect our humanity before it is too late. The human I know Sunk into A black hole It seems so hard To remain human When fear has taken over the soul I feel so numb Out of words Will you human, ever return? They tell me keep Your heart open Don't you ever lose hope I find it hard To believe in A future for our children to grow The tears come up my throat My voice shakes My body sinks heavy My muscles ache My soul cries Where did you go? Will you return? Will we meet again? How can we rehumanise? We need to rehumanise
