NORTH KIGEZI IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARMIDALE DIOCESE TRAINS YOUTH BIBLE READING AND INTERPRETATION.

Next Generation Conference organized by the North Kigezi Diocese, in partnership with the Diocese of Armidale, Australia, successfully concluded yesterday ```10/01/2025``` at Kinyasano Girls High School. Over 200 youths from 84 parishes across the diocese participated in the 5 day Conference, which focused on training young Christians in Bible reading and interpretation. The goal of the conference was to empower them to grow as responsible individuals capable of interpreting and sharing scripture to positively influence their lives and communities. During the closing session, former Diocesan Youth Coordinator Ven. Andrew Kananura applauded the participants for their discipline and enthusiasm throughout the conference. He commended their commitment to learning and their eagerness to engage meaningfully with their faith and passion. "I am proud of the dedication you have shown this week," Ven. Kananura said. "This training will not only strengthen your personal faith but also equip you to live responsibly and contribute positively to your communities." He also expressed gratitude to the organizing team and the strand leaders for their exceptional efforts in making the conference a success. The conference featured Strand leaders from both the North Kigezi and Armidale dioceses who facilitated interactive sessions aimed at deepening young christians’ understanding of the Bible. Over 20 people graduated from the Next Generation program during the conference As the event concludes, it is hoped that the skills gained will inspire the young Christians to play active roles in their churches and respective communities.
