Remember Malok? The Story of Malok and why it was GOOD

Bungie has recently talked about threading a narrative through their season pass content and how the story connects each season. I think their stories connect very loosely, and don't covey a "continuous narrative" well at all. In the past with the April Update in 2016, Bungie did a much better job with that goal of "threading a narrative" with the release of the questline that dealt with Malok Pride of Oryx.
