The Largest Native Beetle in the USA (Facts That Will Surprise You!)

A giant beetle buzzing through your window on a summer night might look terrifying — but the Eastern Hercules Beetle (Dynastes tityus) is far more fascinating than frightening. 🪲 Native to the United States, this impressive beetle develops inside decaying wood for years before emerging as an adult. Males use their enormous horns to compete with rivals, while females search for suitable places to lay their eggs. Its shell even changes appearance depending on humidity! ⚠️ Disclaimer: This video is for educational and entertainment purposes only.
