দক্ষিনেশ্বর কালি মন্দিরের ইতিহাস | History of Dakkhineswar Kali Temple
The Dakshineswar Kali Temple, located in Kolkata, India, was built in 1855 by Rani Rashmoni, a wealthy philanthropist and devotee of Goddess Kali. The temple is dedicated to Bhavatarini, a form of Kali, and is famous for its association with Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the spiritual guru of Swami Vivekananda.
Situated on the banks of the Hooghly River, the temple complex includes twelve Shiva temples, a Radha-Krishna temple, and a large courtyard. It became a significant spiritual center, influencing the Ramakrishna Movement. Today, it remains a major pilgrimage site, drawing devotees and tourists alike.
