Pyrenees 4K – Golden Hour from Montgarri down the Bonabé Valley (Spain)

Golden hour drive from the Santuari de Montgarri down the Bonabé valley, in the Catalan Pyrenees, driven in a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4. The track leaves the Val d'Aran behind at the old sanctuary and follows the young Noguera Pallaresa into the Pallars Sobirà, through one of the deepest forest valleys in the Pyrenees. 50 minutes of gravel in fading light, with pure ambient sound: engine, gravel and mountain wind. No music, no talking, no voiceover. Alpenglow on the peaks, cows grazing beside the track, timber stacked in the clearings of a valley that lived off its forest for a century. After sunset the drive carries on into the blue hour,about half an hour passes in real time at the cut, and ends in near-darkness where the valley narrows above the village of Alós d'Isil.
