This historic town is the first capital of Upper Canada, now Ontario and the only town in Canada that has a "lord mayor" to this day the tree-lined streets with perfectly manicured and landscaped colonial style Victorian era homes are quite impressive this is the main street of the town called Queen Street it is dotted with restaurants, boutiques and specialty shops there are so many restaurants and cafes to choose from I decided to go with ice-cream! Niagara-on-the-lake is home to the oldest surviving catholic church St-Vincent de Paul and the oldest surviving golf course. To add to the charm of this early 19th century town you can even ride on horse-drawn carriages through the village. Let's go down to the lake. This is the Queen's Royal Park; here is where the Niagara River meets the Lake Ontario. The river flows from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. This river flows between USA and Canada.
