The Grizzly That Climbed Too High Chasing a Goat

The Grizzly That Climbed Too High Chasing a Goat link video :    • The Grizzly That Climbed Too High Chasing ...   High in the Canadian Rockies, a grizzly spots a mountain goat on a cliff, and from below, it doesn't look that far away. The bear follows. Going up, its huge shoulders carry it a surprisingly long way. Then the holds run out, and it realizes where it is. For a heavy animal, coming down is much harder than going up: its weight pitches forward and it can't see where its back feet are going. A mountain goat solves the same problem by rearing up on its hind legs and spinning around on a ledge barely wider than its body. The bear has no such trick. This is the story of a grizzly's real mistake, and of the goat that never even had to move. 00:00 A grizzly spots a goat 00:50 Distance measured in footholds 01:30 Claws vs hooves 01:50 The bear follows 03:00 Running out of holds 03:30 Stuck on a ledge 04:20 Why coming down is harder 04:50 How a goat turns around 06:00 Back to the meadow 06:40 The cliff does the defending 08:40 Evening on the ledge #grizzly #mountaingoat #wildlife #naturedocumentary #animals
