In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to crochet the Mermaid Stitch, which is my own variation of the Fan Stitch. This beautiful colourwork stitch is perfect for beginners looking to move on from basic stitch patterns and learn something a little more tricky. It only uses chains, single crochets and trebles crochets (US terms). Mermaid stitch is perfect for all sorts of crochet project but works particularly well for blankets.
