Revit Families for Interior Design
In this tutorial, we'll model the Etcetera Lounge Chair by Jan Ekselius, together with its matching footstool, using Revit.
We'll start by creating the main structure of the chair with the Sweep tool, then combine sweeps and extrusions to achieve the rounded ends. Once the chair is complete, we'll create a separate nested family for the footstool and bring it into the main family.
Along the way, you'll learn how to set up material parameters and create a visibility parameter that allows you to show or hide the footstool directly from the main family.
Follow the process step by step and discover useful techniques for creating more flexible and customizable Revit furniture families.
