Haunted House for Sale: Spooky, Witchy and Creepy Real Estate Finds

Would you live in an old funeral home? What about a haunted house? Or maybe a gothic or witchy home is more your style? In this episode, keeping in theme with Spooktober, Violeta and Lindsay go house-hunting with a twist, checking out real estate listings that are haunted, witchy, gothic, or downright creepy. They kick things off with The Macabre Mansion of Sonoita, a Gothic Arizona Airbnb decked out entirely in horror movie themes, before moving to the Octagon Mansion in Virginia, a Civil War-era home with documented paranormal history and a resident spirit said to be a 12-year-old girl. From there, they tour a former funeral home turned residential listing, admire the Converse House, an 1870 High Victorian Gothic landmark in Connecticut nicknamed "The Dragonfly House," and take in the old-money charm of the Hearst Pierrepont Estate in New York's Hudson Valley. The episode wraps with the most ambitious listing yet, the Falkenstein Castle, an $8 million medieval-style castle on 110 acres in Texas Hill Country, complete with tiny cottage homes, sparking a very real conversation about crowdfunding their own castle. This episode is a lighthearted, chisme-filled tour through some of the most unique, spooky, and story-filled properties on the market this season, and a celebration of the podcast's one-year anniversary.
