Biafter Records – Turn the Light Back On / Gothic Rock Melancholic

There are periods when disappearing from the world becomes easier than taking part in it. “Turn the Light Back On” is a melancholic gothic rock song about slowly returning to life after months of shutting everything out. The story begins with closed curtains, untouched records, familiar objects left exactly where they were, and a person who has learned how to disappear without ever leaving the room. Then something small changes. A song plays again. A different road is taken home. A stranger smiles. For a moment, life feels possible. The song is not about suddenly becoming whole again. It is about the first signs of movement after standing still for too long, and the decision to stop living halfway gone. Built around intimate vocals, piano, dark melodic bass, cello, reverberant guitars, organic drums, and a growing gothic rock arrangement, the track moves from restrained melancholy into a wider emotional release. “Turn the light back on. I’m not finished yet.” Genre: Gothic Rock, Melancholic Rock, Dark Alternative, Emotional Rock Mood: Melancholic, intimate, reflective, hopeful, emotional, cinematic © Biafter Records – All rights reserved. ℗ Biafter Records – All rights reserved.
