Adam Ant - Desperate But Not Serious - Dallas, Texas - 09/23/26

Adam Ant performing Desperate But Not Serious live at Texas Trust CU Theater — a song that always takes me straight back to middle school dances. The live version opened with that unmistakable guitar solo before the drums kicked in, giving it a leaner, more rhythmic feel than the horn‑driven album cut I grew up with. The two‑drummer lineup pushed the song in a different direction, trading the glossy studio sheen for a sharper, more percussive groove. Hearing it reworked like this made the track hit in a completely new way, and it ended up being one of the most memorable moments of the night.
