Come along for a quiet late summer walk through the Appalachian woods.
This one-hour walk follows a couple of old logging roads through an Appalachian forest.
There is no music and no narration—only the natural sounds of the forest and the steady rhythm of walking.
Listen to the dry leaves and small twigs crunching beneath my boots as I make my way along the old roads.
Sunlight breaks through the trees in places, while other sections disappear into the cool shade of the forest.
Along the way, you may hear an occasional bird, squirrels moving through the woods, and even an occasional breath as the walk continues.
And yes… there are a lot of spider webs.
You may occasionally see my hands clearing webs from the narrow logging roads. It's simply part of walking these old Appalachian roads in late summer.
Nothing has been staged or added. This is simply a nice walk through the woods.
Put yourself on the trail for a while.
Slow down. Listen to the footsteps. Watch the sunlight move through the trees. Let the forest take you somewhere quieter.
Quiet Appalachia shares peaceful scenes from the forests, creeks, waterfalls, mountains of the Appalachian region and an occasional trip on my little aluminum boat, Sea Esta..
There is no narration and no instruction—only the natural sounds of nature.
Stay as long as needed, breathe, and enjoy a moment of calm in Appalachia.
