Camping in Heavy Rain Day and Night, Building a Shelter by the River, Almost Swept Away by a Flood Hello, this time my dad and I went camping and faced heavy rain while building our shelter. The intense rainfall caused the previously dry river to overflow, nearly sweeping away the shelter we were constructing. Eventually, we had to retreat and return the next day. Thankfully, on the second day, the shelter was completed with only a drizzle of rain, and we also foraged bamboo shoots for our dinner.
