On Sunday, I decided to explore new places. One of the places was Wadi Taab.It is one of the most beautiful valleys I have ever visited in Oman. This wadi attracts many adventurers and one of the most important wadis where athletes sport the descent of rope. To reach this wadi you have to dive up to Salma plateau.Make sure you use your low gears on the way down. You definitely need a 4x4 for this Wadi and a confident driver. The amenities at this place are low for tourists. Carry food and drinks with you since it's unavailable there. We parked the car and we started walking with our heavy backpacks filled with our climbing gear, food, and water. The leader told us that we would have to pass through a narrow opening and that the locals will fix a rope to help us climb. On our way, we saw clay-made houses on the crevices of the mountain, caves and fertile agricultural crops, as well as lakes, waterfalls and aquatic eyes that run from high mountains. The abseiling was 45 meters, so we prepared the ropes and we had the necessary crisis for the safety of our descent with the helm of the head. We came down one by one, then we found a smooth, and we climbed about eight meters. We completed the walk and found the last descent was approximately 37 meters. We walked a distance of 20 meters and a few minutes later, we saw a section on the right side of the mountain. It was a warm water spring; we rested for a while and then continued the walk. Shortly after our second descent, we encountered a third descent and took a distance of 17 meters in the water. We had lunch and rested. We enjoyed the wonderful view. Mountains and a narrow waterway surrounded us. The waterfall beside us made us wonder about the greatness of this place and how beautifully it is situated behind these high mountains.
After lunch, we jumped into the pool. We swam for a short swim and then we walked a little to see the narrow waterway. We had to swim for about 200 meters. Then we completed the walk until the last 6 meters. Then we went down to the end of the track and reached a place where the crack became narrower and was blocked with a big boulder leaving only a small passage for a skinny person to get through. At this point, our leader decided to sit and fix a rope in order to make it easier.
