Operating a Local on the NWV Model Railroad

This is an instructional video on how we operate a local train on our HO scale model railroad. We use car cards with waybills to move the cars around the layout, and the trains follow train orders mounted inside plastic sleeves that are given to each crew before they begin their "shift". I forgot to mention in the video that the back side of the train orders have a line map of the layout to show you where your train should be going (Google Maps or Waze won't help you here!). The operations on our layout will be changing in the next year or two as we expand the layout by about 30%, adding another sorting yard and 3 towns. Stay tuned for more operations videos.
