Day 63 of The Grey Nomads USA adventure takes us from Bandon, Oregon, south along the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway (US-101) as we begin our journey out of Oregon and into Northern California. We started the morning in Bandon with breakfast and picked up lunch at Bandon Baking Company before getting back on the road. As we continued south along the Oregon Coast, we made one more stop to take in the incredible scenery, including Arch Rock, before crossing the Oregon–California border. Once we arrived in Crescent City, California, we set up our SylvanSport GO camping trailer and took care of some much-needed laundry. Then it was time for another adventure! We headed south of Crescent City in our Jeep Grand Cherokee to experience the unique Drive-Thru Tree—driving through one of California’s famous giant redwood trees. 🚙🌲 From there, we returned to Crescent City to visit Battery Point Lighthouse, one of the area’s iconic coastal landmarks. We then headed into Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, where we drove through some of the most spectacular old-growth redwood forests in Northern California. The towering redwoods made for an unforgettable end to our day on the road. We finished Day 63 with dinner at SeaQuake Brewing, enjoying good food and a great atmosphere before calling it a day. This is another chapter in our 2026 Alaska road trip, Pacific Coast Highway road trip, and full-time travel adventure as we continue our long journey back toward The Villages, Florida. Follow The Grey Nomads USA as we continue the journey! 🚐🛣️🌲 #TheGreyNomadsUSA #PacificCoastHighway #RedwoodForest #CrescentCity #OregonCoast
