Instead of looking through the windshield, the camera stays with the side window as rain moves across the glass and the landscape passes beyond it. There is something about this view that always takes me back to childhood. On long drives, when I became tired, my mother would let me lie down in the back seat. I remember looking through the window before falling asleep, watching trees, lights and landscapes appear for a few seconds and disappear again. From that low, half-awake perspective, even an ordinary road could feel strangely dreamlike. Recording this chapter brought some of that feeling back.
