How to See TOKYO in ONE DAY (Perfect 24-Hour Itinerary!) 🇯🇵 2026

We are back in Japan! In this ultimate Tokyo travel vlog, I’m taking my mom on an epic, action-packed 1 day in Tokyo itinerary. This is my second time visiting Tokyo, and my main goal was to show my mom—and you guys—some of the absolute best things to do in Tokyo if you are short on time! From exploring massive train stations to eating the best Japanese food, we managed to see the perfect mix of modern city vibes and traditional culture, all without feeling rushed. 🚂 The Ultimate Tokyo Travel Hack Our day starts bright and early at Shinagawa Station. If you want to know how to travel Tokyo on a budget, here is my top Tokyo travel tip: buy the JR Yamanote Line day pass! The Yamanote Line is a massive circle line that connects almost all the major hubs in the city. Using this single transit pass made getting around Tokyo inexpensive, fast, and easy. 📍 Everywhere We Went (Our 24-Hour Tokyo Itinerary) Shibuya: We started our morning at the iconic Shibuya Crossing (the busiest intersection in the world), visited the famous Hachiko Statue, and explored a massive building packed with anime shops. Pro tip: We went up to the Shibuya Starbucks for the absolute best view overlooking the crossing! Ichiran Ramen: For lunch, we had to get the legendary Ichiran Tonkotsu Ramen. It’s easily some of the best ramen in Tokyo and a must-eat for any food lover. Harajuku & Takeshita Street: Next, we absorbed the wild energy of Takeshita Street, did some window shopping, and grabbed a delicious Taiyaki (traditional fish-shaped pastry). Meiji Shrine: Right next to the hustle of Harajuku is the peaceful Meiji Jingu Shrine. Walking through the massive torii gates and surrounding forest is a staple of any Tokyo sightseeing tour. Ueno Park: We hopped back on the metro to Ueno Park, and honestly... watch the video to find out. Tokyo Skytree: We took a classic Tokyo cab over to the Tokyo Skytree for sunset. This was my first time here too! We got tickets for both the Tembo Deck and Tembo畅 Gallery and watched the sun go down over the massive Tokyo skyline. Japanese Curry Dinner: To end our perfect Tokyo day trip, we headed to the building next to the Skytree for a comforting plate of Pork Tonkatsu Curry. While we missed a few Tokyo attractions like TeamLabs, Shinjuku (next day), and Akihabara, this pace was absolutely perfect for a 1-day itinerary.
