Zorin OS Just Hit a Milestone Microsoft Should Be

Zorin OS just hit a massive milestone — and it happened at almost exactly the moment Windows 10 reached the end of its official support. Zorin OS 18 attracted millions of downloads in a matter of months, with Zorin reporting that a large majority of those downloads came from Windows users. That makes the story bigger than one Linux distribution. It shows what can happen when millions of people are suddenly told their existing Windows PCs can no longer officially move forward with Windows 11. Windows 10 reached end of support on October 14, 2025, while Windows 11 introduced hardware requirements including TPM 2.0 and supported processor restrictions that left many older PCs outside Microsoft's official upgrade path. For users who didn't want to replace perfectly functional hardware, Linux became a realistic alternative. #ZorinOS #ZorinOS18 #Linux #Windows10 #Windows11 #LinuxForBeginners #WindowsAlternative #SwitchToLinux #Linux2026 #OldPC #LinuxDesktop #Ubuntu #OpenSource #PCRepair #TechNews
