Today we will be working on SOLIDWORKS Practice Problem 2.1. This CSWA Level 2 problem gives us a chance to practice: • Creating fully defined, symmetric sketches • Using centerlines to control design intent • Applying R9 and R3.75 Sketch Fillets • Creating concentric circles and repeated end details • Working with multiple closed sketch contours • Controlling Boss-Extrude directions and end conditions • Building stepped thicknesses, a recessed panel, and a raised perimeter rim • Verifying the finished model with Mass Properties In this demonstration, we create a symmetric raised-rim link plate featuring a recessed center panel, a narrow raised border, filleted end transitions, and two concentric mounting-hole details. Problem specifications: • Units: MMGS • Difficulty: Medium • Certification level: CSWA • Suggested completion time: 10 minutes • Target volume: 5,263 mm³ The official SOLIDWORKS Practice Problems can be found here: https://www.solidworks.com/solution/e... Try completing the problem independently before following along. When finished, compare your sketch relations, fillets, extrusion end conditions, feature tree, and calculated volume with the demonstration. #SOLIDWORKS #CSWA #CADTutorial #3DModeling #EngineeringDesign
