Peter tells the lame man, “Look at us,” revealing something greater than individual expression: Christ is in you, but there is also a greater expression of Christ in us. Ephesians 2 reveals believers being “fitted together,” growing into a holy temple and being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Jesus takes this even further in John 17 when He prays that we would be one—and connects that oneness directly to the glory He has given us. Acts 4 shows what happens when that prayer begins to take form: believers assemble together, pray together, are filled with the Holy Spirit and become one heart and one soul. The result is great power and great grace upon them all. Then 2 Chronicles 5 gives us the picture of a glorious habitation: divisions give way, worshipers become “as one,” one sound rises to God—and the glory of the Lord fills the house. The service moves from revelation into response as the Body gathers in prayer, worship and ministry—not simply learning about corporate glory, but responding to God's invitation to become a people through whom His fullness can be revealed.
