Practice this week’s spelling words with me! ✏️🔤 In this video, students will practice spelling mixed CVC words using all five short vowel sounds: a, e, i, o, and u. Our focus is not just memorizing the words. Students will practice how strong spellers think by: ⭐ saying the word ⭐ tap the sounds ⭐ counting the sounds ⭐ listening carefully to the middle vowel ⭐ writing one sound at a time ⭐ checking their work This Week’s Words map, pet, sit, hop, cup, lid, red, hot Each word has 3 sounds, which makes this a great opportunity for students to strengthen phonemic awareness while connecting sounds to letters. Families can use this video each night for guided spelling practice. Have your child grab a pencil and paper, listen along, and write the words with me. Toward the end of the video, students also get a chance to try the words independently.
