Meet Ameera, Sesame Workshop’s Newest Muppet Friend

Meet our new Muppet friend, Ameera! Ameera is a witty and inquisitive 8-year-old girl who loves science and basketball. Due to a spinal cord injury, Ameera uses her bright purple wheelchair or forearm crutches to get around. She’s everyone’s favorite comedian, and her sense of humor serves her well as a natural leader who encourages others with her bright personality. Ameera makes her debut on Ahlan Simsim, the Arabic-language version of Sesame Street in the Middle East and North Africa, and will also star in innovative, globally tested animations designed to quickly deliver playful learning to children affected by crises.
