J R PERRY LOVE DROPS PRESENTS : THE MUSIC OF BOTH KINSMAN DAZZ 70S & DAZZ BAND 80S MUSIC

MUSIC OF KINSMAN DAZZ 70S & DAZZ BAND 80S REVIEW: The group emerged from a local jazz-fusion band named Bell Telefunk. Founded by saxophonist Bobby Harris, they became the house band at Sonny Jones' Kinsman Grill Lounge, adopting the name Kinsman Dazz as a nod to both the street and the venue. The 20th Century Era (1977–1979): As Kinsman Dazz, the band signed with 20th Century Fox Records. Their early projects—a self-titled 1978 debut and 1979's Dazz—were famously co-produced by Earth, Wind & Fire's Philip Bailey. The Motown Transition (1980): The band simplified their name to The Dazz Band upon signing with Motown Records.
