Building a House Foundation on a Steep Mountain | Self-Sufficient Mountain Life

Today, I began a new project on my mountain farm. I started by cutting down several large trees growing around the garden because they were blocking sunlight from reaching the vegetables. After clearing the area, I moved on to the main project — digging and leveling the ground to create a flat foundation for a new house. Because the land is naturally steep, I used stones from the surrounding area to build a retaining wall around the foundation and gradually create a stronger and more stable space. This is only the beginning of another project at my mountain farm. Step by step, I will continue turning this rugged piece of land into a more complete and self-sufficient home.
