EPs) 22:49 A bit of a representative cross-section of Alan's Ottawa Already Dancing Tour show at the magnificent National Arts Centre - a few fast songs, a few slow songs, some chat and crowd interaction, several Stories and Moments, and a whole lot of energy, charm, and two-way gratitude. Ottawa wound up being one of my favourite shows that I saw on this tour leg - not so much of a surprise in that Ottawa crowds have always been so great for both GBS and Alan on his own, but maybe a bit of a surprise just how great this crowd was in the NAC, which is gorgeous and grand and can thus sometimes make folks feel a bit church-y and subdued during a show. Not this crowd. This crowd felt like Bluesfest in the NAC. This crowd came for a great night out and in so doing, they played their own part in making that great night happen. And Alan appreciated them so much for all of it. I could see that appreciation in every smile. Then he gave back as much as he'd been given. And more.
