This is a recording of a 1-hour webinar hosted by the Oceania Chapter of the TCI Network. The webinar featured Dr John Howard, author of the recently released 'Handbook of Innovation Ecosystems: Placemaking. Economics. Business. Governance'. Dr Howard presented his four-domain convergence model, arguing that placemaking, economics, business and governance must be treated as co-equal domains if innovation ecosystems are to deliver meaningful productivity and impact. Rather than focusing primarily on inputs — such as funding, infrastructure or program announcements — the discussion emphasised the importance of system conditions that determine how effectively innovation outputs are absorbed and translated into economic and social value.
