বান্দরবানের গহীনে নিষিদ্ধ পথে যাত্রা | মাতামুহুরী রিজার্ভ ফরেস্ট | Walitong Pahar #travelwithnaimur #bandarban #walitongpahar #matamohuri বান্দরবান—পাহাড়, মেঘ, ঝিরি, ঝরনা আর ঘন সবুজ জঙ্গলে ঘেরা প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের এক অপূর্ব জনপদ। কিন্তু এই সৌন্দর্যের আড়ালেই রয়েছে এমন কিছু দুর্গম পাহাড়ি পথ, যেখানে প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে অপেক্ষা করেছে মিত‍্যু ভয় অনিশ্চয়তা আর রোমাঞ্চকর অভিজ্ঞতা। আজকের অভিযানটা ঠিক তেমনই এক যাত্রা। আমাদের লক্ষ্য মাতামুহুরী রিজার্ভ ফরেস্টের গহিনে, মিয়ানমার সীমান্তের জিরো লাইনের কাছাকাছি অবস্থিত নিষিদ্ধ ওয়ালিতং পাহাড়ের সামিট করা। চারপাশে ঘন জঙ্গল, উঁচু-নিচু পাহাড় আর দুর্গম পাহাড়ি পথ—যেখানে চলার প্রতিটি ধাপেই থাকতে হবে সতর্ক। কারণ এই এলাকার বিপদ শুধু দুর্গম পথেই সীমাবদ্ধ নয়। জঙ্গলে রয়েছে বাঘ ভাল্লুক সহ বিভিন্ন বন্যপ্রাণীর আনাগোনা আর সীমান্তের ওপারে চলমান সংঘাত এবং সবচেয়ে উদ্বেগের বিষয়, স্থানীয়দের কাছ থেকে জানতে পেরেছিলাম, এই এলাকায় স্থলমাইনের ঝুঁকি রয়েছে। অন্যদিকে, পুরো যাত্রাপথে ছিলোনা কোনো মোবাইল নেটওয়ার্ক আমরা যে পথে হেঁটেছি সিন্ধু পাড়া পর সেনাবাহিনী কিনবা বিজিবি কোনো ক‍্যাম্প ছিলো না আমরা রাত কাটিয়েছি বাংলাদেশ-মিয়ানমার সীমান্তের একদম কাছাকাছি প্রকৃতির অপরূপ সৌন্দর্যের পাশাপাশি এই সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকার কঠিন বাস্তবতাও আমাদের প্রতিটি মুহূর্তে অনুভব করতে হয়েছে। চলুন, দেখে আসি বান্দরবানের গহিন জঙ্গলে ওয়ালিতং পাহাড় অভিযানের এক রোমাঞ্চকর ও চ্যালেঞ্জিং যাত্রা। Bandarban is a region of exquisite natural beauty, defined by its mountains, clouds, streams, waterfalls, and dense green forests. Yet, hidden behind this splendor lie rugged, inaccessible mountain trails where every step brings the threat of death, uncertainty, and the promise of a thrilling adventure. Today’s expedition is one such journey. Our objective is to reach the summit of the restricted Walitong Mountain, located deep within the Matamuhuri Reserve Forest, near the 'zero line' of the Myanmar border. Surrounded by dense jungle, undulating hills, and treacherous terrain, every step requires extreme caution. The dangers here extend far beyond the difficult path itself; the forest is home to wild animals, including tigers and bears. Furthermore, the region is affected by the ongoing conflict across the border and the presence of armed groups. Most concerning of all—as we learned from the locals—is the risk of landmines. To add to the challenge, there was no mobile network coverage throughout the entire journey. Beyond Sindhu Para, there were no army or BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) camps; we spent the night in close proximity to the Bangladesh-Myanmar border. Throughout this journey, we were constantly confronted not only by the breathtaking beauty of nature but also by the harsh realities of this border region.
