Day 23 of my 150-day journey! 🇮🇳🍛 Tuesday started a little late because I stayed up late the previous night. Had breakfast in the morning, kept lunch simple with a salad, and then headed out in the evening with my friends. First, we went to a Toyota showroom to check out a car for one of my friends. 🚗 After that, we decided to grab some food and ended up at Kuppanna in North Austin. Kuppanna is known for its South Indian and Kongu Nadu-style food, with dishes like Kongu biryani, parotta, dosa, idli and traditional curries. Their story goes back to Erode, and the restaurant focuses on bringing those regional flavors to the US. We ordered **chapati with veg kurma, Kongu chicken biryani, parotta with mutton curry, and a chicken starter**. And honestly, everything we tried was delicious! 🔥 The only thing we felt was that the quantity could have been a little better considering most of the dishes we ordered were around the $15–$16 range before tax. But taste-wise, we were really happy with the food. Kuppanna has quite a few Kongu-style specialties on the menu, including Kongu Chicken Biryani and Kongu Mutton Biryani, along with parotta and regional gravies. After dinner, we headed back home and called it a day.
