Black Sheep Show Notes: Debated going to this show for a while. $84 for a floor ticket was too much. I kept an eye on resale for a couple of weeks. Nothing reasonable. The day before the show, I found a $33 ticket on TickPick (thanks “Spencer”) - love when people include their names on the TM transfers. Got ~4 hrs of sleep on Sunday night and woke up at 6:30 to get the boys to summer camp. Felt like hot garbage. Debated reselling after I logged on the apps and found floor tickets were going for over TM list 🤷🏻‍♂️ Decided to see how I felt at work… still felt like shit, but decided I was going to leave early, work from home a bit, take a nap, and go to the show. Had to work late 😩 Drove ~1 hr home from the office in Canton, took the dog out, and headed to the show… another 1 hr drive. Found street parking a mile away and walked it. Boston smelled like New York City today. 🤮 Must be trash day for Fenway soon. Showed up half way through the opening band, Stars, so I didn’t film them. I think Steve got them from up top, so I’ll link his recording when it posts. Set up behind the sound board for Broken Social Scene, and decided to stay there for Metric, because the location wasn’t bad. Then, Metric’s sound guy ended up being 6 foot 15 - and this dude grooved the whole set. Bobbing and weaving like Muhammad Ali. I get it - love what you do. More power to him. I decided to move during the encore… why TF didn’t I just move earlier??? 🤣 I’m an idiot. All good. It was a great show. Walked the mile back to my car - got to my local at 12:30 for a nightcap. 4 shows in 2 weeks. #5 tomorrow - maybe - if I don’t feel like death. Update: I received $25 in concert cash for this show, so I effectively paid $8
