The Legacy of Kumba: Iconic but Overrated

Kumba operated at Busch Gardens Tampa from 1993 and through 2026 and the question is, was it really as good as it's legacy seems to indicate? It's certainly an important coaster, both for the identity of historical Florida tourism and as significant milestone for B&M during the Coaster Wars, but it hasn't aged very gracefully. Today, I wanted to take a look at Kumba's history and break down why, regardless of how important it was, the ride experience was overrated.
