NBA Live 96 (SNES) - Unlocking All Hidden Characters

Unlocking all the hidden players (108 in total) for the Super Nintendo version of NBA Live 96, including NBA legends, 95-96 rookies, missing players (Michael Jordan & Charles Barkley), the EA Sports NBA Live development team, & a handful of random staff created players. While this was not an entirely new concept, this game helped jump start the rise of the create-a-player feature we take for granted in modern sports games. If you played NBA games in the mid to late 90's, this was a game changer (especially with rookie draft classes not readily available upon a game's release, plus Jordan & Barkley not being part of the NBA players' license). NBA Live 96 on the 16-bit consoles took it one step further & created over 100 hidden players for players to unlock & customize simply by putting in their last name (or the full name on the Sega Genesis version), something that hasn't been replicated before or since. To enable the create-a-player feature, simply stage a draft with the two 1995 expansion teams (Vancouver Grizzlies & Toronto Raptors). The draft opens up roster spots throughout the league filled by generic roster players that you can edit & trade to other teams.
