HIKING GOAT LAKE | Sawtooth National Forest | Southern Idaho

September 12th, 2019! Tessa and I took a little car camping road trip to Southern Idaho for a few days to check out the Sawtooth Mountains, just outside of Stanley, ID. The hike started out easy, but the last mile or so was an absolute scramble and an ass kicker. It seems like the most challenging hikes are the most rewarding, and this one sure did pay off. Goat Lake may have been the most scenic hike of the year, and possibly of all time. We meant to take off on the hike pretty early in the morning, but the thick fog delayed us a few hours. Lucky for us the sun was able to break through, and we had nothing but clear, sunny skies at the lake that made for an awesome time up there.
