Can plastic-wrapped beverage cases flow smoothly on carton flow rack — even without rigid cardboard bottoms? Mallard Manufacturing's Engineering Testing Lab put our Cart-Trak bearing roller system to the test with a food distributor's bottled beverage inventory, including challenging plastic-wrapped cases. During testing on Dyna-Flo HD, beverage cases with cardboard bottoms flowed successfully, while bottled water cases without rigid cardboard bottoms did not advance as expected. The team also evaluated the entire bottled inventory assortment on Cart-Trak with bearing rollers. The results? All tested beverage cases flowed successfully in both loading orientations, with no hang-ups observed during unloading! Cart-Trak's bearing roller design reduces rolling resistance, supporting consistent product advancement. It can also accommodate reduced rack pitch in certain applications, creating opportunities to optimize storage capacity.
