Welcome to my first video :)) I finally got around to creating a channel!! I just wanted to do a 'get to know me' vid by answering some questions I got from my instagram @lucialipiano and from a piano master class I gave in Australia recently.
I'm a pianist from Sydney, Australia and I moved to New York City 6 years ago to pursue music. So now I'm a third year undergrad at Juilliard.
There were quite a few questions about how to apply to Juilliard and what the audition process was like so I hope that my insight is helpful! I also talk about my top two practice rules.
A friend challenged me on ig to play Rush E (the playable version ofc) so you can see me struggle through that. I set a time limit of 30 mins to learn and record it because I needed to cram my other work but it was still fun!
Looking forward to posting more videos including projects, vlogs (e.g. day in the life of a juilliard student, competition prep, concert prep, etc), 'how to' vids, and collaborations! Really excited about what's to come :)
Ask any questions down below!
Love,
Lucia Li
