Macau in the 1970's before the skyscrapers & casinos

Here I present a series of photographs of Macau taken 40 years ago. The skyline has since changed beyond all recognition. These photographs are a fascinating look back at a time when Portugal still ruled the peninsular, Chinese gunboats patrolled the waters around Macau and high rises and mega-casinos were yet to arrive.
