Inktober 2026 — Day 26: ZIP | Sjonni

Today’s prompt is Zip. The joke is fairly simple: Sjonni has clearly invented a past involving a very specific Christian summer camp in order to impress a woman. Unfortunately, Frikki is standing beside him. What became more interesting while drawing this was the woman herself. I’ve always found cartoony female characters slightly harder to design in this particular style. With male characters I’ll happily exaggerate noses, jaws and proportions almost without limits, but with women I tend to think much more carefully about where the exaggeration happens. So this became another little Inktober study — not just of Sjonni, but of the supporting characters who will eventually need to populate his world.
