Building a Cocktail Smoker From Scratch | No CNC Required!

In this video, I’m building a custom wooden cocktail smoker from scratch. The idea is pretty simple: add some wood chips, light them with a torch, press a button, and let a small fan pull the smoke through the smoker and into a glass cloche over your favorite cocktail. Actually figuring out how to make all of that work was a little more complicated. This build combines woodworking, glue-ups, basic wiring, epoxy, finishing, and a little trial-and-error engineering. I started with a rough idea and worked through the design as I went, eventually building the entire airflow system into the wooden base and adding glass vials to store different types of smoking wood. The board itself is made from a mix of hardwoods I had around the shop, including walnut, bocote, maple, and teak, while the hidden mechanics underneath are made from simple, readily available components I picked up on Amazon. There are plenty of cuts, plenty of sanding, and a few problems to solve along the way. But that’s what I enjoy about projects like this, starting with an idea and slowly figuring out how to turn it into something that actually works.
