Silent Lake Provincial Park - July 2026

Out "note to selves" about our first trip to Silent Lake Provincial Park in almost 20 years. It was a quick trip that we had low expectations for because of a dismal weather forecast, but it turned out to be a great trip. Sites that we like in this park include: 153 (our fav), 149 (where we stayed on this trip), 94, 98 and 100. Also to keep in mind: on the way to the park, you can stop at the Coffee Time at the corner of Hwy 7 and Hwy 28, which is about 1 hour from the park. This is a good spot for a pit stop and has a big gravel parking lot that makes it easy to navigate with the trailer on. Similarly, on the way home, there's a PetroCan with a Tim Hortons on Hwy 115 just before the start of King's Hwy 407 (the free one) which is a good spot to take a break. It's about 2 hours from the park.
