On April 12th, Curious City teamed up with the Chicago Brewseum for a storytelling event at Carol's Pub, where we learned all about Uptown's beer culture and bar history. Ahead of the event, Curious City's Robert Loerzel sat down with author Mark Guarino to talk about the Uptown neighborhood, its Appalachian ties, and the role of Southern migrants in shaping the Midwest's country music scene.
