LOVE IS IN THE HAIR | R&B PLAYLIST

It’s been over a year since we’ve dropped the “Tems Playlist | Healing” on YouTube. A beautiful moment in time we caught on camera, showcasing my friend Lisa’s love for hair while I curated a soundtrack featuring only Tems songs, people have now heard all over the world, all from a little hair salon in Newtown, Australia. A MESSAGE FROM LISA... "One of my favourite things apart from creating is bringing people together. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved doing hair while surrounded by friends, talking, laughing, and genuinely connecting. Those moments became more than just hair sessions. They became spaces filled with community, love, and togetherness. People loved being around it so much that even when I was working, they’d often just want to sit in, be present, and be part of the process. I’ve been deeply blessed to experience real love through God, my family, and my friends. One prayer I’ve always carried is that God’s love would pour through everything I do. Hair became one of my favourite ways to express that love. It’s a demanding process mentally, physically, and emotionally, but it’s something I would do for hours without hesitation. A year ago, Mistah Cee challenged me to bring my ideas to life. He could see I was full of vision, but I wasn’t fully executing it. Exactly one year later, I called him with a small idea I had. I spoke about it with little confidence, and he said something that shifted everything for me: “How can I believe in your idea if you don’t believe in it?” That moment changed me. I had to lock in, believe in myself, and move like the vision was already real. We had just one month to bring everything together, and it became one of the busiest, craziest, and most challenging seasons of my life. Creating something this big in such a short time, especially something I’d never done before, pushed me in every way possible. But through faith, vision, and hard work, we created something special.
