Mario Kart World Main Theme - Piano Tutorial (Advanced)

Here is the main theme of Mario Kart World. Honestly all the music and arrangements in Mario Kart World are great. The arrangement is broken down into 3 parts: 0:00 1st Section (Lap 1) 0:30 2nd Section (Lap 2) 1:07 Boogie Woogie Variation (Lap 3) The first part is very true to the original. Special thanks to NintenMusic (Channel:    / @nintenmusic  ) as I used his transcription as a base for this arrangement. The 2nd part is where I take some artistic liberties and extend the theme a bit. The final part transitions to a straight 8th stride/boogie woogie variation on the main theme with some subtle altered harmonies. ===== Performer's Tips ===== This arrangement took some doing as I underestimated the theme and it took much longer to get a good recording than I initially thought. This was mostly due to the fast tempo and rhythm (both swung and straight 8ths) that drive this energetic theme. I'd advise pianist tackling this theme to really make sure they feel the rhythms and notes properly (metronome can be a powerful tool here) at a slower tempo before trying to tackle this theme at full speed. The final Boogie Woogie section also tests the right hand's ability to make quick octave jumps while carrying different melodic textures; As well as testing the left hand's rocking octave bass technique (perhaps a good precursor to Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata mvt. 1). Getting this section clean after getting through the first two, is partly what delayed this upload. Your Pianist, Erik P. S. This recording still has it's flaws and was borderline for me on whether it was acceptable. The voicing and dynamics are a bit lacking and their are some flubs here and there. But at somepoint you just have to pull the trigger and let the arrangement go to move onto other things. Let me know your opinions in the comments as to whether these flaws are noticable. P. P. S.
