How We Maximise Every Inch of Our Training Farm | Complete Farm Tour

How much can you produce from a relatively small farming space? In this video, I take you around my training farm inside Ibadan to show how we maximise the available land for different types of crop production. This is not my only farmland. It is the farm I use for training and continuous practical demonstrations, but almost every productive section has been deliberately put to use. The main commercial section contains our cucumber plants. I have been planting cucumbers on this same land since 2019, and the farm continues to produce because we pay attention to soil management, irrigation, crop health and proper production practices. We also have carrots being grown commercially. In another section, maize and potatoes are planted together to make better use of the available space. Around the farm, you will also find yam, pawpaw, plantain, mango, almond and orange trees. Some of these crops occupy larger sections, while others are positioned around the boundaries and in spaces that might otherwise have remained unused. This is an important lesson for anyone interested in farming: productivity is not determined by land size alone. The arrangement of the crops, the type of crops selected and the way the soil is managed all influence what the land can produce. You may not have access to several acres immediately, but you can start by properly assessing and planning the space available to you. Avoid overcrowding the crops, but do not leave productive areas unused without a reason. A well-managed small space can support several crops and produce real value. Watch the complete farm tour and tell me how many different crops you can identify. #Olatfarms #FarmTour #LandManagement #CommercialFarming #CucumberFarming #MixedCropping #FarmingInNigeria #SmallScaleFarming #CropProduction
